There is a garden growing inside this one. Green moss spreading through clear and milky chalcedony, dark thickets in some places, single fine threads in others, and open pockets where tiny crystals grew into the gaps and still catch the light. Hold it up to a window and the pale sections turn translucent, so the moss looks suspended in water.
Moss agate has no actual moss in it. What you are looking at is mineral, iron and manganese that crystallised in branching patterns as the stone formed, and the resemblance to something growing is a coincidence the earth keeps making. That is most of the charm. It looks alive and it is older than anything that is.
At ten inches this is a tall, slender piece. It reads as a green line in a room rather than a mass, which makes it easy to place next to plants, on a mantel, or on a desk where you keep looking up at it.
What Moss Agate Is For
Moss agate is called the gardener's stone, and that name has followed it for a long time. It is associated with new growth, with patience through slow seasons, and with the sort of progress you only notice looking backward. People keep it near seedlings and near new work for the same reason.
It is linked to the heart chakra and to a steady, unglamorous kind of abundance, the kind that accumulates rather than arrives. Older traditions name it a stone of grounding and gentle renewal, and it gets reached for when you want to feel connected to the ground you are standing on instead of the noise above it.
The tower form gathers and directs. A point draws energy upward and releases it through the tip, which is why towers anchor a room or an intention. This one belongs where you are trying to grow something, whether that is plants or otherwise.
The Exact Piece
The tower photographed here is the tower you will receive. Every piece in this shop is one of a kind, and the moss inside this one grew in a pattern that will not happen again.

A Note On Natural Stone
This came out of the ground rather than a mould, so expect natural variation. You will find open druzy pockets, fine lines where the chalcedony banded, cloudy sections beside clear ones, and colour that shifts with the light in your room. Those are not flaws. They are the evidence.
Because natural minerals are delicate and can be damaged by the stress of shipping, we are unable to accept returns. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right.
