This is a big one. Three pounds of polished fluorite standing eight and a half inches tall, and the color runs the whole way through it. Deep violet at the point, then a wide belt of teal and sea green, then more purple pooling toward the base with drifts of milky white and clear between them.
What makes fluorite worth looking at closely is what is happening inside. The stone grew in cubes, and those cubes are still there under the polish, stacked and interlocking at angles like a city seen from above. Turn it toward a window and the internal planes light up one at a time, edges catching and letting go as it moves. Photographs get maybe half of it.
The color zones are natural growth banding. Fluorite takes on different hues as its chemistry shifts during growth, so the purple and the green are a record of the water that fed it changing over time. No two are alike and none of it is dye.

Please note: this is a natural stone. Expect small surface marks, tiny pits where a cleavage plane meets the surface, and variation in clarity from face to face. Fluorite is a soft mineral, so handle it more gently than quartz, keep it from knocking against harder stones, and keep it out of long hours of direct sun. You are receiving the exact piece shown.
Fluorite has a reputation among people who work with stones as the one you reach for when your head is full. It is kept as a stone of order, the sorting out of tangled thoughts, and it turns up again and again on desks, in studios, and anywhere someone is trying to think clearly through a mess. The nickname that follows it around is the genius stone, which is a bit grand, but the association with focus and mental tidiness is very old.
The green and the purple are read a little differently. Green fluorite carries the calmer, more grounded side, the settling of nervous energy. Purple leans toward the intuitive and the contemplative, and is often paired with quiet practice. A piece like this one holds both, which is part of why the multicolored towers get picked up first.
The tower form is read as focus, energy gathered wide at the base and carried up to a single point. At this size it is less a shelf piece and more an anchor for a room, a desk, a studio corner, or a window where the afternoon light can get into it.
Because natural minerals are delicate and can be damaged by the stress of shipping, we are unable to accept returns. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right.
