Description

A raw cluster of pyrite from the La Ojuela Mine in Mapimi, Durango, Mexico, pale brassy gold from edge to edge, with sharp little cubes and stepped crystal faces stacked over every inch of her, and patches of white calcite tucked in between that make the metal look even brighter. Galena and fluorite grew in this pocket with her. She is heavy for her size, cool in the hand, and she flashes every time you move her.

She wants a desk. Put her where you do the work that pays the bills, the corner of the desk that catches the window, or on the entry table where you see her on the way out the door in the morning. About 3 inches across, she is a piece you pick up between emails and turn over in your hand, and she gives back a little glint every time.

Pyrite is the stone of abundance in crystal tradition, the one people keep near the checkbook, the laptop and the front door to pull money and opportunity toward the house. It is read as a stone of will and confidence, the push to ask for the raise, start the thing, send the invoice, and it is said to shield its keeper from the draining kind of people and the draining kind of days. The calcite grown through her is read as an energy cleaner and amplifier, so the pair together is abundance with the volume turned up. La Ojuela is a mine collectors know by name, and a piece from there carries a little of that story with her.

The product photographs show the exact piece you will receive.
