This is a real ammonite, an ancient sea creature that spiraled through warm Cretaceous oceans more than 100 million years ago. Time slowly turned its shell to stone, and a careful polish opened up the spiral inside. Every little chamber it once used to drift and float is now filled with honey gold calcite, smoky agate, and the occasional glint of pyrite.
One face has been polished into a soft, shallow bowl, so she can rest flat as a catchall for your rings and crystals, or sit upright on the included acrylic stand to show off that glowing spiral. She makes a quiet, grounding centerpiece on an altar, a windowsill, or a desk.
Ammonites carry the energy of the spiral, of cycles, growth, and the long patient unfolding of life. Holding one is a gentle reminder that everything moves in its own time.
This style of polished ammonite comes from Madagascar. Each piece is a one of a kind natural fossil, so the colors and the pattern of your ammonite are entirely its own.
