A polished peach moonstone flame, cut and shaped to a soft point and finished smooth on every face.
The color is warm apricot, deeper and more russet where the stone is dense, paling to cream where the feldspar runs clear. Pale veins drift across it at an angle, and when you turn it in daylight a soft sheen moves over the surface, there and then gone. It stands on its own flat base with nothing to prop it up. It is a solid piece at 1 lb 6.6 oz, with the heft to match the look.
Peach moonstone is a feldspar, the same mineral family as the classic white moonstone, colored warm by fine inclusions. The sheen has a name, adularescence, and it is light bouncing between microscopic layers inside the stone rather than anything on the surface.
