Most spheres give you one thing. This one gives you a landscape and then opens a cave in the middle of it.
The body of the stone is moss agate, translucent chalcedony with green mineral growth suspended inside it. Those green fronds are not plant matter, they only look like it. They are mineral, and they grew branching through the silica the way frost grows across a window. Around them the agate runs in soft blue grey bands, layer on layer, following the shape of the cavity it filled.
Then there is the pocket. A wide open geode cave, cut right through the surface, lined wall to wall with small clear quartz crystals. In daylight it throws light back at you in a hundred small points. Under a lamp it goes quieter and more silvery. The edge of the cave is finished in pale blue chalcedony that curls over the rim like a wave.
Turn it and you get a different world every time. One side is deep green and almost forested. One side is nearly all crystal. Somewhere in between the two meet along a band of cream and rust.
The product photographs show the exact piece you will receive.

Please note: this is a natural stone. The druzy pocket is an open cavity, so expect tiny crystal points, small gaps and uneven edges inside it, and a few natural pits and marks on the polished surface. Those are the geology, not damage. You are receiving the exact piece shown.
Moss agate is the gardener's stone, and people who keep it talk about it in terms of slow growth rather than sudden change. It has a long association with patience, with tending something over time, and with noticing that things are further along than you thought. It is a heart stone in most traditions, less about intensity and more about steadiness.
The druzy cave adds something different. Open crystal pockets are read as places where light gets in, and a sphere with a cavity is often kept as a reminder that the opening is the interesting part rather than the flaw. There is an old idea that a stone with a hollow in it holds more than a solid one.
A sphere is read as wholeness, the shape with no beginning and no corner to catch on. Set it where the light moves across it through the day, a console, a mantel, a shelf near a window, and it will not look the same at nine in the morning as it does at five.
Because natural minerals are delicate and can be damaged by the stress of shipping, we are unable to accept returns. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right.
