Hold this one up to a window and it lights up like a jar of honey with the sun behind it. A large honey calcite sphere, pale gold and translucent, with cloudy inclusions drifting inside it and the flat inner planes calcite is known for, which throw little rainbows when the light catches them at the right angle. The polish is glassy and the color is warm all the way through, deeper at the center and paler toward the edges.
It is a big sphere, about three and a half inches across and two and a half pounds, a two hands piece with real weight to it, and it comes on a carved wooden stand so it can sit on a windowsill or a shelf and do what it does best, which is catch the light.
Honey calcite is read as the stone of confidence and quiet drive, the warm cousin of the calcite family, the one for getting unstuck and for feeling like yourself again after a long stretch of running on empty. Calcite in general is read as a clearing and amplifying stone, and a sphere sends that out in every direction at once. Set it where the morning sun finds it and it becomes a small warm sun of its own.
The product photographs show the exact piece you will receive, stand included. Named by density and appearance as honey calcite.
