A propagation station filled with big, chunky tumbled sakura agate, the soft pink, cream and dove gray flower agate named for cherry blossoms. These are the larger stones, the kind you can pick up and turn over in your fingers, each one with its own blush of pink, milky translucent edges and little blossom patterns caught inside. The glass vase sits on a bamboo coaster, and a cork ring on top holds your cutting while the roots grow down around the stones.
Bigger stones make a bolder jar. You see the pattern in each piece instead of a pile of pebbles, and once a cutting takes hold, the pale roots wind between the pink and gray like a tiny garden growing through river rock. Set it in a kitchen window, on a bathroom shelf with good light, or on a desk where a bit of living green makes the day better.
Sakura agate is known as a stone of growth and new beginnings. In crystal tradition it is tied to the heart, a gentle, nurturing stone that encourages you to bloom at your own pace, and it is kept close during seasons of change for a sense of calm and quiet encouragement. Paired with a cutting that is putting down brand new roots, it makes a sweet little reminder that the best things grow slowly.
What is included
Glass propagation vase with cork ring top
Bamboo coaster base
Large tumbled sakura agate stones
Drawstring pouch for the stones
Wooden keepsake box
Plants and water are not included. Pothos, philodendron, monstera and most plants that root in water are a lovely fit.
How to use it
Set the vase on the bamboo coaster. Pour the sakura agate into the bottom, add water until the stones are mostly covered, thread a cutting through the cork ring, and set it somewhere with bright, indirect light. Change the water about once a week and watch the roots grow.
The product photographs show the style of set you will receive. Tumbled stones vary in size, shape and color from set to set.
