This Brazilian amethyst geode is lined with purple amethyst crystals — deep violet at the center, fading to soft lavender at the edges — with golden calcite formations growing right out of the crystal bed. The calcite clusters sit like little honeyed islands in a purple sea, catching light differently than the amethyst around them. It's the kind of contrast that makes you stop and look twice.
