Description

An agate geode opened to a broad cave and polished into a standing freeform. The cavity takes up most of the front, a wide arch lined with fine druzy that runs from pale cream at the rim down into a deep smoky gray at the back. Around it the agate is banded in blue gray and white, with one pale band arcing right over the top of the stone. The bottom is cut flat. The agate is from Uruguay.

This is the one to put where it gets looked into rather than at. The cave is deep enough to hold a shadow, so set it on a shelf a little below eye level with the opening turned toward the room and a light off to one side, and the rim will catch while the back stays dark.
