## Description

The contrast is the whole point of this one. A polished black agate from Uruguay, glassy and dark as ink, opened to a pocket of chunky white quartz druzy that looks like fresh snow. The crystals are bigger than most druzy, sugary and bright, and they run in a soft seam across the face so the light catches them in a ridge.
The shell is polished all the way around, deep black with faint gray banding on the back, and the base is cut flat so it stands on its own. It is a hand sized piece with real weight to it, close to a pound.
Agate is read as a grounding and steadying stone, and black agate in particular as protective, the quiet stone that holds the room together. White druzy quartz is read as clarifying, a field of small points that brightens and lifts. Together it is a small stone with a strong presence, the kind that ends up being the one people pick up first.
