Deep violet bands sweep across the top half in jagged chevrons, the color so saturated it reads almost black where the layers stack, and then the stone opens into a wide pool of clear sea green at the base, glassy enough to see into. The faces are cut in flat facets rather than one smooth curve, so every turn catches the light on a different plane and the bands seem to shift as you move around it. It stands on a flat base at five inches tall, with a clean point, and it is the kind of piece that wants a window. Fluorite is translucent, and with daylight behind it the green half glows and the purple bands go from ink to grape. Fluorite is read as the stone of the clear mind, the one people keep on a desk when they need to focus, learn, or untangle a decision. Green fluorite is tied to the heart and to fresh starts, purple fluorite to intuition and quiet, and a banded piece that carries both is taken as a balance of thinking and feeling, the head and the heart in one stone. The flame shape is read as focus rising to a point, so a fluorite flame is often kept where the thinking gets done, on a desk or a study shelf. The product photographs show the exact piece you will receive. Specifications Stone: natural rainbow fluorite, polished with faceted faces Size: about 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide Weight: 11 oz (313 g) Form: polished flame freeform with a flat base, stands on its own Hardness: 4 (Mohs) Please note: fluorite is a soft stone. Keep it out of direct water, away from acids and harsh cleaners, and away from long hours of strong sun, which can fade the color over time. Expect natural internal fractures and small pits along the facet edges; these are part of the stone, not damage. You are receiving the exact piece shown. Because natural minerals are delicate and can be damaged by the stress of shipping, we are unable to accept returns. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right.
