## Description

There is a reason malachite has been stopping people in their tracks since ancient Egypt. That green is not subtle. It does not ask permission. It walks into the room and the room rearranges itself.
This is a raw fibrous malachite specimen, which means you are looking at the stone exactly as it grew. No polishing, no reshaping. Just thousands of tiny needle-like crystals fanning outward in velvety clusters that catch the light in a way that makes you want to keep turning it in your hands. Fibrous malachite has a texture that photographs cannot fully capture. In person, those fan-shaped formations have an almost botanical quality to them, like a small green garden frozen in copper and stone.
Malachite is a copper carbonate mineral, and that vivid green comes directly from its copper content. It is one of the oldest known mineral pigments. The Egyptians were mining it over 5,000 years ago, using it as a pigment, a talisman, and a symbol of protection. It showed up in tombs, temples, and jewelry across the ancient world. Five millennia later, crystal practitioners still consider malachite one of the most powerful protective stones available.
In healing traditions, malachite is associated with the heart and solar plexus chakras. It is called the Stone of Transformation for good reason. It is thought to absorb negative energy from your space and your body, almost like a filter. It supports emotional balance, builds confidence, and helps you work through the things you have been avoiding. The kind of stone that is not interested in letting you stay comfortable if comfortable is not where you are supposed to be.
One thing to know: malachite is a soft mineral (3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale), so handle it with care. Those delicate fibrous formations are part of what makes this piece so striking, and they deserve a little respect.
