The pink is the whole point. Cobalto calcite gets its color from cobalt sitting in the calcite structure, and it runs from a pale rose at the edges to a deep raspberry in the middle of the face where the crystals are thickest. Scattered through the pink are small bright green spots of malachite, and the cream and gray host rock frames the whole thing like a setting. The back and sides are plain rock, so this is a one face piece meant to be seen from the front. Angle it toward the light rather than setting it flat.
